John Hopkins is the founder and Executive Chairman of The Hopkins Group, first established in 1980.
He is also the founder and director of Lantern Property Partners (a subsidiary of the Hopkins Group, working alongside intermediaries nationally and internationally).
John began his career with Barry Iles, a successful estate agency in Hawthorn, Melbourne, where he was asked to be a director at the tender age of 26.
He then decided to establish John Hopkins and Company, and has since expanded the businesses service offering to include financial planning, tax and accounting, mortgage and finance, property investment advisory, property development, property sales and property management.
Michael Williams is the Managing Director of The Hopkins Group and a Senior Financial Adviser.
Michael has worked as a financial planner for over 15 years after starting a career as a commercial and property lawyer in Queensland. After starting out as a solicitor in 1998 he decided to quickly turn his attention to the financial services industry. Michael was recruited into a management role at Saxby Bridge financial services and relocated to Melbourne.
Michael was responsible for the integration and 3-stage transition of the business from Saxby Bridge to Parkes and then finally Elm Financial Services. In 2001 he became the Victorian State Manager and was responsible for the management of the Melbourne office.
