Samantha Wang (Sam) is The Hopkins Group’ (THG)’s Chief Financial Officer with over 15 years of executive-level group accounting experience and 12 years of high-level operational/ HR experience. Sam is also a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Started as an accounting administrator in 2010, her outcome-driven approach and her commitment to exceptional outcomes has proven invaluable to the group. She was promoted as the group’s corporate accountant in 2012, the group’s finance manager in 2019 and the group’s Head of Finance & HR in 2021.
Throughout her tenure, Sam had led, managed, executed and implemented an extensive list of high-level business initiatives and transformations across a wide range of corporate functions including financial, operational, contractual, HR and infrastructure.
Sam is also a proud mother of two, and she enjoys cooking and playing badminton in her free time.
Joined in 2022, Joanne brought with her extensive paraplanning and leadership experience in the banking and financial sector as the Advice Service Delivery (ASD) Manager for Westpac.
A seasoned operational leader in financial planning with over 14 years of experience, Joanne is pragmatic, solution-centred and outcome-driven. As a leader, she is focused on developing her team through clarity – setting and agreeing on clear and measurable goals with defined, achievable, and client-centric outcomes.
Joanne is also a passionate advocate for women’s equality and workplace representation, and in 2016, she was nominated ‘Woman of Influence – Westpac’.
Joanne completed her Bachelor of Business (Economics & Finance) at RMIT University in 2008, and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) – Human Resources & Employee Relations at Victoria University in 2013. She has also achieved her Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning (ADFP) – Taxation in 2010.
