Introducing Linda, our new Senior Bookkeeper at The Hopkins Group. Linda plays a key role in our Accounting team, reporting directly to Accounting Partner James Patterson.
With over 30 years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll, Linda is a seasoned professional. She’s well-versed in various software platforms and holds certifications as a Xero Certified Advisor and Xero Payroll Certified.
Linda’s career has taken her through a variety of industries, including a notable stint in the pharmaceutical sector spanning over 16 years.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Linda excels in handling complex accounts. She’s driven by a desire to provide exceptional service and outcomes for our clients.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time with her family and her furry companion.

James is an Accounting Partner with over 17 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation services to Small and Medium businesses, across most industries.
In July 2022, James and his firm (Argent Accounting) officially became part of The Hopkins Group, bringing to the table extensive expertise with service offering not only core Business Accounting & Taxation Compliance Services, but also his Business Strategic Services & a raft of other Support offerings, including operational & management experience.
In 2014, James founded Argent Accounting and Law with his wife, Melissa. What started as a small practice, after eight years of hard work, they grew the firm to a successful duel service business with approximately 20 staff, including Accountants, Lawyers, as well as Support and Administrative staff.
It was always James’s vision to be able to offer his clients a holistic, multi-tiered service offering beyond just accounting (and legal services). He wanted to create an end-to-end service offering to his clients, that would encompass all aspects of their business and personal financial journeys, from financial advisory to investment planning to tax and accounting.
In 2021, James came across The Hopkins Group and saw a strong alignment between his service goals for clients and The Hopkins Group’s service offering philosophy. Following the successful merger of Argent Law and a larger boutique national law firm, James decided to take the opportunity to merge his Accounting business with The Hopkins Group.
James is now an Accounting Partner, a stakeholder, and the group’s leader for business tax and accounting. James Patterson is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Certificate of Public Practice with ICAANZ.
Ahmed is part of the Accounting & Tax team, and as a Senior Accountant, he seeks to deliver highly valuable outcomes to our clients.
He focuses on assisting clients with all their business and personal tax obligations. He also aspires to enable business owners to focus on business growth and achieve positive client outcomes.
With a wide range of experiences in accountancy advisory, business accountancy, accounting audit services and general accountancy, Ahmed is an exceptional accountant with a history of proven record.
With his diverse background combined with his extensive qualification and working experience, Ahmed is an organised and culturally adaptive individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Ahmed completed his Master of Professional Accounting & Master of Business Administration in 2016. He is also Xero Certified Advisor and is Xero Payroll Certified.
Rachel Williams is the Director of Accounting for The Hopkins Group and also serves on our Executive Board.
Taking over the company’s accounting services in July 2013, Rachel prides herself on providing her clients with a personalised service and building a long-term relationship with them. In her role as the Director of Accounting, she is ultimately responsible for the delivery of accounting and taxation services to our clients. A member of The Hopkins Group’s leadership team, Rachel leads and develops a team of young professionals who share her same client service philosophy.
Rachel’s previous experience has included roles in both big four and second tier accounting firms. With over 15 years of experience working as an accountant and tax advisor, Rachel is passionate about ensuring her clients are always in a position to make informed taxation and financial decisions.
Rachel comes highly qualified with a Bachelor of Commerce, Masters of Tax and a Diploma of Financial Planning. She is also a Chartered Tax Adviser.
Kezia Eman is a Senior Accountant with The Hopkins Group, reporting to the Director of Accounting.
Starting at The Hopkins Group in mid-2013, first as a Graduate accountant before progressing her way into a senior role, Kezia is passionate about accounting and assisting her clients with their tax affairs.
She is responsible for managing workflow within business services, mentoring junior staff and preparing financial statements and income tax returns for clients – including individuals, partnerships and companies.
Kezia holds a Bachelor of Commerce.
Linda Vong is a Senior Accountant at The Hopkins Group.
Joining The Hopkins Group as a Graduate Accountant in November 2013, Linda has worked her way up the ranks into the role she is in today.
From pension documentation and setting up Self-Managed Superfunds through to preparing financial reports and correspondence with the Australian Taxation Office, Linda is well-versed in all things accounting.
She loves working alongside her colleagues and she prides herself on providing her clients with a high level of service.
Linda is qualified with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting.
